{"id":341,"date":"2011-11-08T13:17:01","date_gmt":"2011-11-08T12:17:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/radiowood.com\/?p=341"},"modified":"2011-11-08T17:58:35","modified_gmt":"2011-11-08T16:58:35","slug":"341","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/radiowood.com\/?p=341","title":{"rendered":"Strasbourg by Water"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_342\" style=\"width: 522px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/media3.wood.nu\/2011\/11\/IMG_0352.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-342\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-342\" title=\"Batorama\" src=\"http:\/\/media3.wood.nu\/2011\/11\/IMG_0352-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Batorama European Parliament ahead\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"http:\/\/media3.wood.nu\/2011\/11\/IMG_0352-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/media3.wood.nu\/2011\/11\/IMG_0352-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-342\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The boat reaches the European Parliament<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Our friends recently visited us from Sweden, and on the last day of their visit we took the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.batorama.fr\/visite-de-strasbourg-en-bateau-r4.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Batorama<\/a> boat tour of Strasbourg, which travels around the central island of the Old Town and then out to the European institutions, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coe.int\/lportal\/web\/coe-portal\" target=\"_blank\">Council of Europe<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.echr.coe.int\/ECHR\/homepage_en\" target=\"_blank\">European Court of Human Rights<\/a>, and the one week a month home of the <a href=\"http:\/\/europa.eu\/take-part\/visit\/european-parliament-strasbourg\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\">EU Parliament<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This was the second time I took the tour, the first was on one of my first visits to Strasbourg. Now, after having wandered around the areas the boat parallets for more than two months, the trip was very different. I knew where we were the whole time, rather than a general feeling of being lost.
