Second Life-Day Two
Posted by george on 4th February 2007

Well, I have my dragon suit.
This time I typed the location coordinates of Luskwood Creatures into the map box, and clicked on teleport. It took me to a different place from where I was before (although it may just have been a few floors up inside the tree house where I failed to climb the stairs).
Buying the costume went well, and now I’ve teleported back to Reuters, where I am going to try to work out what they do there. I also found a website that discussed some kind of scripting to permit RSS displays within Second Life. Probably way beyond what I can do myself, but it would be very useful.
The same person also seems to have developed a system to blog from within Second Life, which might be interesting, if I actually start spending much time within the place.
On the other hand, after just a couple of visits wandering around Second Life, with little mastery of the interface, I certainly don’t know what I don’t know. It would have been really great to be able to do this stuff in Star Wars Galaxies, but that environment is a lot more controlled.
